Vztažná zájmena
Na Landigo si dnes ukážeme, jak vyjádřit chlapec, který... nebo dům, který... pomocí tzv. vztažných zájmen – WHO, WHICH a THAT.
Vztažná zájmena (relative pronouns) – procvičování:
Danny is a boy who plays basketball. = Danny je chlapec, který hraje basketbal. Pomocí WHO jsme spojili dvě věty:

Vztažná zájmena rozlišujeme podle toho, k čemu se vztahují:

Všimněte si, že WHO/WHICH/THAT někdy ve větě chybí. Do češtiny větu přeložíme, jako by tam bylo:

Našel jsem auto, které si můžeš dovolit. |
WHO/WHICH/THAT můžeme vynechat, pokud nenahrazuje podmět (kdo, co) v druhé větě. Jednodušeji řečeno, v druhé části souvětí musí zůstat např. I, YOU, PETER:

WHO/WHICH/THAT nemůžeme vynechat např. v těchto větách:

Vztažná zájmena (relative pronouns) – shrnutí a tip na závěr:
- Lidé → WHO/THAT (The boy who... The boy that...)
- Věci → WHICH/THAT (The house which... The house that...)
- WHO/WHICH/THAT můžeme vynechat, pokud zůstane ve druhé části věty podmět (The boy who I met. → The boy I met.).
