BEFORE někdy používáme, když mluvíme o místě. Platí to především ve formálnějších kontextech.

BEFORE označuje pořadí (v nějakém seznamu, dokumentu apod.):

BEFORE používáme s významem IN THE PRESENCE OF (= v přítomnosti; za účasti):

BEFORE používáme v idiomu RIGHT BEFORE ONE'S EYES:

Porovnejte BEFORE a IN FRONT OF:
